A gripping and emo!onal legal drama based on a
true story that moved France for three decades.
In 1982, André Bamberski (Daniel Auteuil) learns
about the death of his 14 year‐old daughter,
Kalinka, while she was on vaca!on with her mother
and stepfather (Sebas!an Koch) in Germany. Con‐
vinced that Kalinka’s death was not an accident,
Bamberski begins to inves!gate. A botched autopsy
report raises his suspicions and leads him to accuse
Kalinka’s stepfather, Dr Dieter Krombach, as the
murderer.
Unable to indict Krombach in Germany, Bamberski
a#empts to take the trial to France, where he will
dedicate his life to Kalinka’s jus!ce and the impris‐
onment of Krombach.
Based on the true Kalinka Bamberski case, "In Her
Name" follows the three decade ba#le faced by a
father to bring his daughter’s murderer to jus!ce.
Faced with challenges from the French and German
legal systems, Bamberski’s story is one of persever‐
ance and obsessive determina!on.

Raoul Peck

James Baldwin, Raoul Peck
Featuring:

Nominated for an Academy Award for Best
Documentary Feature!
In 1979, James Baldwin wrote a le#er to his literary
agent describing his next project, "Remember This
House". The book was to be a revolu!onary, per‐
sonal account of the lives and successive assassina‐
!ons of three of his close friends — Medgar Evers,
Malcolm X and Mar!n Luther King, Jr.
At the !me of Baldwin’s death in 1987, he le$ be‐
hind only thirty completed pages of his manuscript.
Now, in his incendiary new documentary, master
filmmaker Raoul Peck envisions the book James
Baldwin never finished. The result is a radical, up‐
to‐the‐minute examina!on of race in America,
using Baldwin’s original words and flood of rich
archival material. "I Am Not Your Negro" is a jour‐
ney into black history that connects the past of the
Civil Rights movement to the present of #Black‐
LivesMa#er. It is a film that ques!ons black repre‐
senta!on in Hollywood and beyond. And,
ul!mately, by confron!ng the deeper connec!ons
between the lives and assassina!on of these three
leaders, Baldwin and Peck have produced a work
that challenges the very defini!on of what America
stands for.
